April 04 the case of the missing.... So... I haven't been able to use the treadmill for oh, about a week or two *grrrr* because I couldn't find the safety tab key thingie *the technical name I'm sure*, that you insert and if you fall it pulls out and stops working. Well, we had to keep hiding it because my daughter would put it in and "try" and use the treadmill. Not the greatest situation... well, she found it and hid it on me! LOL NICE! I just found it this morning and am SO excited to be able to get back on there... it has been so weird not being on it the whole two hours while I watch BL... So, I'm back! :) ~joi~ March 04 Look what I did during the show!!! :) Don't worry, I won't spoil anything!!! hehehe These are two separate readings that need to be added together!! :) *I had to take a potty break* ![]() I'm stepping it up ladies... 4.5 miles during the show tonight! WOO HOO!!! Okay, time for a shower now... lol ~joi~
February 27 BOOT CAMP!Today I started Billy Blank's Bootcamp Elite and I LOVE it... :) I have several other dvds of his but I have to say using the bands makes a difference! I've wanted to get them for a while and I'm glad I didn't *WEIGHT* any longer. It gives you a 4 week plan to follow. I'm not sure just yet how I'll do it, because I like our other workouts too... but we'll see! But here is the plan it gives... ![]() I'm just interested to see the "guaranteed results in a week"... lol :D Kinda not really fair to be mixing it in with my first full week of treadmill, but hey, who cares... it's getting this J*U*N*K off of my body! hehe The days that it suggests rest I will at least to the treadmill... as I've been hopping on that everyday! No clothes hanging on this equipment! ~joi~ February 24 Don't Tread on Me We got a treadmill... we got a treadmill... we got a treadmill!!! So, here is my game plan. We are going to continue with our regular workout routine (the Biggest Loser DVDs together in the morning (cardio and sculpting on alternating days) and I'm going to hop on the treadmill for at least 30 minutes in the morning... hopefully longer if the kids stay asleep long enough. And then during the 2 shows I watch during the week, my butt is going to be on there... not sure I'll last the two hours for Biggest Loser but as long as I can stand it! :) My goal is to be able to run... I've NEVER been able to!! I could walk for days and days... but running was just something I couldn't get to... well, I'm going to make it happen! I also picked up some not so expensive goodies... the rest of the Biggest Loser DVD's (we only had the first one), so I got #2 and the Cardio Max and Power Sculpt ones... :D I found a workout ball for a SUPER price, so i HAD to grab that! Oh, and the Billy Blanks BootCamp Elite Set was on sale and cheaper than buying the bands alone (which I've wanted for a while)... :D So now I just need to make sure I use them all! :) I figure the more varied the workouts the better it will be... gotta keep the body guessing! ~joi~ January 19 oh ye of little faith... Daddy's got GREAT balanceBrandon and I were both able to do the workout today... wee hoo! I was a little apprehensive about a few parts, thinking he wouldn't be able to do them and get pissy about it... I was wrong! LOL He has WAY better balance than I gave him credit for. *oops* Although, getting the kids to stay out of the way so they weren't trampled underfoot was a whole new task to figure out. They just wanted to work our, right along with us... Not the safest situation there folks. An byt eh time we got to the cool down, when we were both in runner's stance, they kept crawling and weaving in and out from between our legs. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited they want to do this with us, but we may have to limit it to our floor exercises for a while. at least until they understand which <---direction----> we are going or we don't have all this extra weight on us to quickly aid in the smothering of the wee ones, should we topple over... haha So, with this I sign off... must get to work in the studio... many new designs waiting to be created! ;) ~joi~ January 18 getting in shape or turning to a blob of mush?!? so, I had a bit of a shocker when I did the Biggest Loser DVD.... owie! I didn't realize just how out of shape I am. I mean obviously I know I'm not in shape but wow... I felt it... a lot! My legs felt like rubber bands... or jell-o... I guess since they have a similar consistency and jiggle that is only fitting. *wink* But I'm sticking to this regime and i know its obviously working if i'm feeling it this much...lol It was the lunges and squats that got me. I did the workout almost 8 hours ago and I can STILL feel it... so I am going to keep at it and I know results are coming around the corner. Changing the way I eat has never been the hard part for me... it's easy to slip into the old ways with food... but healthy eating isn't as hard for me to accomplish as exercise. So heres to the million lunges and million squats that are going to have my body in better shape than it's ever been! :D ~joi~ |
